Nam Nguyen

Welcome! I’m Nam of Namchops Photography. I am a movement and action-oriented photographer based in Melbourne, Australia. The name Namchops came from a primary school nickname.

Picking up my first DSLR in 2011, I started exploring and documenting the world around me while finishing off a degree in Criminology. During my final year of the Masters, I had the amazing opportunity to photograph Flare Dance Ensemble’s yearly production. This sparked an interest in capturing a dancer’s raw movement and emotions in different spaces.
